Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services - Forest Hill on Jun. 11, 2024.
It is with hearts full of fond memories that we celebrate the extraordinary life of Cooper Anthony Honig, whose infectious laugh and boundless creativity brought joy and light to all who knew him. Cooper, who left us on June 7, 2024, at the spry age of 18, was the embodiment of friendliness, creativity, and a faith that could move mountains-or at least convince you he could solve a Rubik's Cube blindfolded.
Born on December 22, 2005, in
Bel Air, Maryland, to his loving parents, Christian Anthony Honig and Kimberly Ann Honig. Cooper's memory will be forever held in the hearts of his adoring family; beloved son of Christian Anthony Honig and Kimberly Ann Honig, cherished brother of Mia Lynn, Carson David, and McKenzie Brooke, dear grandchild of Dave and Susan Cooper and Tony and Deb Honig, cherished nephew of Katie Scharpf and her fiancé Jeff Hawk, Derek Scharpf, Jill Zbikowski and Bryan Zbikowski, cousin of Caleb, Peyton, Finley, Sam, and Elliette, and great-grandson of Sam Costa and his wife Marj. With him in spirit, his beloved pet dog Marlee will miss his tender care. Cooper is also survived by many other loving family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
A recent graduate from North Harford High School, class of 2024, Cooper was known for his golf swing that could put pros to shame, an affinity for classical music that had him nodding in time with Beethoven's Fifth, and a passion for drawing that made stick figures look like high art. He could out-game anyone in Fortnite, leaving his competitors in pixelated dust, and his effortless charm and faith-filled spirit made him the kind of friend everyone wished they had.
So, here's to Cooper-our happy-go-lucky, Rubik's-cube-solving, golf whizzing, classical-music-humming, doodle-drawing, gaming superstar. Your tee time in the sky has no wait, and we know you're already bringing smiles to the angels with your top-tier banter and sky-high high-fives. Keep the fairways green and the laughter rolling until we meet again.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Cooper's life at Evans Life Celebration Home - Forest Hill, 3 Newport Drive on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 1-2 pm. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Freedom Church in Bel Air. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.evansfuneralchapel.com.
