Cora Mabel Carney

Cora Mabel Carney of Rolla, MO passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the age of 103.
Mabel was born to the late Harve Butler Feeler and the late Blanche (Spencer) Feeler on November 27, 1920. Mabel married the late William "Donald" Carney in October of 1941. In addition to her parents and husband, Mabel was preceded in death by, her son Bill Carney, her brother, Jim Feeler, and her sister, Norma Brubaker.
Mabel was a wonderful woman and was loved by many. Mabel was a homemaker, but in addition to that she taught school for a couple of years and was the owner and operator of the Carney Store. Mabel spent her life dedicated to raising her children and enjoyed being present and spending time with her family. In her early years Mabel loved to ride horses. Mabel enjoyed spending her down time quilting.
Mabel Carney will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: her son, James Carney and wife Olivia of Rolla, MO; four daughters, Donna Kaye Weitzel and husband Paul of Ohio, Susan Johnson and husband Eddie of Gainesville Florida, Mary Dablemont and husband Marvin of Rolla, MO, and Sally Smith of Rolla, MO; her brother Bill Feeler of Rolla, MO; her sister Myrl Devins of Rolla, MO; 12 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law Wenona Carney.
A funeral service for Mabel Carney will be conducted on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 1pm at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla, MO, followed by interment at Dyer Cemetery in Rolla, MO. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 11am at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Dyer Cemetery.
