Cora Louise Sattler Comeaux, 97, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 6:27pm. Cora was a native of Church Point, LA and a resident of Houma, LA.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Houma, LA from 8:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at St. Bernadette Church at 10:00am with burial following in St. Edwards Cemetery in Church Point, LA .
Cora is survived by her loving family; children, Brenda Bonvillain (late husband, Ivy Bonvillain Jr.), Lucretia Cunningham (Barry), daughter-in-law, Donna Comeaux; sister, Lenora Bergeron; grandchildren, Rebecca East (Larry), Tracey Bonvillain, Ron Cunningham, Cory Comeaux (Jessica), Mindy Comeaux, Ryan Cunningham (Colleen); great-grandchildren, Brennan Comeaux, Patrick Cunningham, Taylor Comeaux, Leland Cunningham, Tyler Comeaux, and William Cunningham.
Cora is preceded in passing by her loving husband of thirty-four years, Lee Vinton Comeaux; parents, Willie and Louise Guidry Sattler; son, Richard Comeaux, brothers, Gurvey, Austin, A. J. , Herman and Shannon Sattler; sister, Wilma Hundley.
Cora was a devoted and faithful Christian who was in love with her Catholic faith. She was devoted to Mary and her most holy rosary, which Cora recited daily. She was a very kind, loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoy socializing with her friends at Shady Lane Elderly Housing.
The family would like to thank A.C.G. Hospice, her sitters, Roxane Hutchinson, Rebecca LeBlanc, and Amy James for all the wonderful care they provided.
