Cora Leigh Schroeder, age 14, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 16, 2026. She was born on July 2, 2011, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Avery Schroeder and Lindsey (Berndt) Schroeder. Cora was currently a freshman at Fond du Lac High School. She had just started working at Whispering Springs Golf Course and previously had worked at the Little Farmer. Cora was very involved in volunteering within her community and additionally took great pride in her academics. She was an extremely talented artist with plans to continue as many art classes as possible throughout her high school education. Cora loved baking with her newest project being her sourdough starter which she named Dough-Phelia after her favorite musical artist, Taylor Swift. She always brought so much fun, laughter, and love into everything she did.
Survivors include her parents, Avery and Lindsey Schroeder; her siblings, Owen Paulson (Lindsay Goeden), Ellie Schroeder and Cole Schroeder; maternal grandparents, Debbie and Gary Berndt; paternal grandparents, Judy and Greg MacDonald; aunts and uncles, Derek and Tara Schroeder, Erin and Jeff Keifenheim, Shannon and Jake Vogds, Kelly Berndt; cousins, Emma Keifenheim (Andrew DeKok), Halle and Lacey Keifenheim, Micah, Paige and Gabby Jebron, Jackson and Katelyn Vogds, Addy, Lucas, Alivia, Holly and Emme Schroeder and great grandparents, Jean and Bill MacDonald and Patricia Schneider.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 3:00 PM. Private family burial will take place at St. Charles Cemetery.
