Mrs. Cora Alice Cox Tucker, 76, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. She was born in Surry County on July 18, 1948 to Damon Cox and Wilma Cox. Cora loved The Lord and accepted The Lord into her heart in 1969. She was a member of Northwood Baptist Church and she loved being at church. Cora was a homemaker and took good care of her family. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Cora was a true jewel and will be deeply missed by all who had the special privilege to know her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Tucker; a sister, Lula Crabb; and a brother, Eugene Cox. She is survived by three children, Kenneth (Debbie) Tucker, Jimmy (Vickie) Tucker, and Tammy (Rodney) Hutchens; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Vy (Alice) Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Northwood Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Webb and Dr. Allen Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Tucker family.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
