Corbin Ronald Knowles

Little did the world know how much better it would be when Corbin Ronald Knowles was born on July 21, 1975. He was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, to the home of Ronald Don and RaNelle (Pierce) Knowles. He passed away on March 23, 2025, at the age of 49 years old in a vehicular accident near LeGrande, Oregon. Corbin had two older siblings, Nathan and Amy, with his youngest brother, Byron, joining them in 1978. Corbin was a happy child and always found joy throughout his life. His growing up years were filled with sports, hunting, and his many life-long friends. He excelled in basketball and football during his school years and graduated from Declo High School in 1993.
Corbin chose to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served briefly in the England Leeds Mission until he was sent home with the diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes. He completed his mission in Riverside, California. He never let Type 1 Diabetes determine the trajectory of his life. In fact, he had such a wealth of knowledge from living with it, he was a great resource and support to others with the same disease. He always said, "A diabetic can live a fulfilling life. It's all about managing it." After his mission, he reconnected with Charlotte Yarbrough, a cute little gal from Albion. He enjoyed her company even in his grade school years. He often pestered her to show his admiration. They crossed paths often through the years. Corbin made the best decision of his life when he asked Charlotte to marry him on September 20, 1997. They were later sealed in the Logan Utah Temple the following year. His joy increased with the birth of his children, Reese, in 2003, and Jarron, in 2009. He dedicated much of his time supporting and enjoying every aspect of being their father. He would go to the ends of the earth for them when they needed him.
Corbin furthered his education at College of Southern Idaho and received his Bachelor's degree in Hydrology from Boise State University. Corbin worked for the Idaho Department of Water Resource for 17 years. He then decided to build his own consulting business known as Basin Wide Water, providing meter installation and service for farmers and dairymen. He attended and graduated from Leadership Idaho Agriculture, class of #43, and served on their board of trustees for two years. Corbin had clients all over Idaho, Utah, Oregon, Nevada, and Washington. Corbin worked tirelessly building his business and he was very proud of the services he could provide. He was a valued resource in addressing the needs of Idaho water distribution. He respected and admired the agriculture community for their dedication and contributions to Idaho and the world, and they also respected him. His expertise was unmatched.
Although Corbin's business meant a great deal to him, the biggest joy in his life was his family. Corbin worked hard, and played hard and it was always his family he wanted by his side. He enjoyed hunting big game, and waterfoul. He traveled with many of his family members to Alaska to go deep sea fishing many times, and to North Dakota pheasant hunting with his dad and brothers. Corbin and his wife, Charlotte, enjoyed traveling on cruises to the Caribbean, Cozumel, Mexico, Las Vegas and San Diego. They also had trips planned for Ireland and Africa.
Corbin would give you the shirt off his back. He developed meaningful relationships and nourished them. He made new friends everyday wherever he would go. He was a real people person. He would always take your call, because he loved to talk – he could talk your ears off! If you needed something Corbin would be at your house quickly to help and give support. He spent much time plowing and shoveling snow for his neighbors, helping to harvest garden and orchard produce to benefit others, planning family camping and hunting trips, and teaching his children, nieces and nephews how to fish or handle firearms correctly. He loved working with the youth in his church callings and serving with all his heart. He was a successful provider, wonderful son, loving husband, dedicated father, and fun grandpa. He is leaving an immense hole in the lives of the people who knew and loved him.
Corbin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Jeanetta Knowles, and Leo and Maurine Pierce; and his father-in-law, Waymon Yarbrough.
He leaves behind his loving family: wife, Charlotte Knowles of Kuna; daughter, Reese (Kacey) Forrey of San Clemente, California; his son, Jarron Knowles; grandson, Kannon Forrey; his parents, Ronald and RaNelle Knowles of Declo; his siblings, Nathan (Melanie) Knowles of Declo, Amy (Josh) Brinkley of Gooding, and Byron (Heidi) Knowles of Boise; his mother-in-law, Shanna Yarbough of Rupert; brother-in-law, Waylon (Heather) Yarbrough of Nampa; sister-in-law, Angela (Curt) Chierici of Nampa; along with numerous nieces and nephews, Bradley (Mckaya), Ethan, Cali (Garrett), Austin, Jayci, Brittany, Abby, Abram, Maudie, McPherson, Gracee, Graylon, and Gretta.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Declo Idaho Stake Center, located at 213 W. Main Street, in Declo, with Bishop Fred Darrington officiating. Burial will follow at Declo Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th Street, in Burley, and at the church on Friday, from 10 until 10:45 a.m.

Due to the sudden and unexpected death of Corbin, the family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to Charlotte, Corbin's wife, to assist with funeral expenses.
