Cordelia Roybal

Cordelia Roybal, beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and aunt, went to be with our Lord on October 19, 2025. She was born to Manuel and Leonides Benavidez and was always surrounded by her large and loving family and many friends.

Cordelia graduated from Santa Fe High School. She married Billy Roybal of El Rancho, NM. They were blessed with 2 wonderful sons. She had a career as a graphic artist at Los Alamos National Laboratory. She enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with her husband of 58 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Leonides Benavidez; sisters Alice Romero, Rosenda Cordova; brothers Johnny Benavidez, Maclovio Benavidez, and Daniel “Brown” Benavidez.

She is survived by her husband Billy Roybal; 2 sons, William (wife Leticia) and Adrian Lenny Roybal of El Rancho, NM; 3 sisters Beatrice Vigil of California; Yolanda Archuleta of El Rancho, NM; Bernice Romero of El Rancho, NM; 7 grandchildren; Sharaya Roybal, Kristyna Roybal, Ambrose Roybal, Andrew Roybal, Analea Vigil, Salomon Sanchez, and Tia Roybal; and 1 great grandchild Eleanor Sanchez.

A Rosary will take place at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Pojoaque, NM, on Thursday, October 30, 2025, with Mass to follow at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at the El Rancho Cemetery.
