Coreen Zeman Obituary
May 14, 1940 - March 9, 2026
Coreen Zeman passed with her family by her side at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, from surgery complications.
Coreen is the oldest of 5 daughters and grew up in the country near Black River Falls, WI.
Coreen graduated from the University of Wisconsin (Eau Claire), with a degree in teaching. Most of her 40-year career she taught 4th grade at Wilson Elementary in Anoka, MN.
She married Marvin Zeman in 1961, and they settled in Anoka. She enjoyed yard work, flowers, sewing, trips to the casino, and lake life for 30 years in Deerwood, MN, at the cabin.
Coreen was preceded in death by her parents, Irwin and Elnora Avery, husband Marvin, son Carl, and sister Rose. She is survived by her daughter Ann Zeman (Ron Paulson); Grandchildren - Jon (Jess) Winn, Cara (Matt) Winn, Connor Zeman; Great-Grandchildren - Sophia, Jack and a little girl due in May; Sisters - Florence (Fall Creek, WI), Beatrice (Viroqua, WI) and Jane (Gillette, WY).
Thank you to the Abbott Cardiac ICU staff for their wonderful care and compassion.
