Corina Saenz passed peacefully into the fullness of God's presence on June 14, 2025 in
Bryan, Texas with her loving family at her bedside, having celebrated her 96th birthday just four days earlier.
Corina was born on June 10, 1929 in Baytown, Texas to Lucio and Maria Saenz. She graduated from Pharr-San Juan- Alamo Highschool in 1947 and from Harlingen Business College in 1948. She worked for Evans Realty in Pharr for multiple years as well as an administrative assistant in several banks in McAllen.
She was preceded in her death by her husband TSgt US Air Force Rigoberto Saenz, her parents Lucio and Maria Saenz, her sister Hermelinda Saenz, and her brothers Marine Lt.Col. Ramiro Saenz and Reynaldo Saenz PhD.
Left to cherish her memory are her brothers Reymundo Saenz (Eliamar) from Rockport, Texas, Robert Saenz M.D. (Gloria) from
Bryan, Texas, sisters-in-law Raquel Saenz from McClean, Virginia and Guadalupe Saenz from Albuquerque, New Mexico as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Corina started married life as a spouse of an Air Force meteorologist in Rantoul, Illinois followed by stays in Fort Worth, Abilene, and Austin, Texas. She was proud of her husband's service as a veteran of foreign wars.
After her husband's death, she and her sister began traveling in the United States as well as to Spain, Italy, and France.
Corina came to live in Bryan in early 2023. Even in her 90's, she always looked forward to doing rehab at the gym. She was an avid reader of any magazine or newspaper, especially the Wall Street Journal.
Corina enjoyed going to Mass with her brother and sister-in-law on Monday mornings at the Bryan Manor Chapel.
On Tuesday, June 24 the rosary service begins at 10:30 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church,
Bryan, Texas. The internment will be private at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Meals Ministry program at St. Joseph Catholic Church,
Bryan, Texas.
