Corinne Bacot Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Aria Cremation Service and Funeral Home - Preston Road on Mar. 30, 2026.
Corinne Snyder Bacot passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her.

Corinne was born on June 23, 1932, in Marvel, Arkansas. After graduating from high school, she moved to Memphis, Tennessee, with her two best friends to attend secretarial school. While in Memphis, she met her husband, Thomas "T.J." Bacot, Jr. They were married on May 21, 1955, and together built a life centered on family, love, and hospitality. They eventually settled in Dallas, Texas, where they raised their three children: Jody, Betty, and Ruthanne.

In the early 1970s, Corinne began working at JCPenney NorthPark, where she rose to become head of the catalog and credit departments. She later retired in the early 1990s.

Corinne had a gift for bringing people together. She was an excellent bridge player and a gracious host, known for gatherings where every detail was thoughtfully prepared. Her table was always beautifully set with fine china and silver, and her dinners and desserts were remembered by all who attended. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome.

She was also an avid gardener and took great pride in her yard, earning Yard of the Month honors on several occasions. She continued her love of gardening and entertaining throughout her retirement.

Corinne loved her family deeply and protected them fiercely. She will be greatly missed, but her spirit and traditions will continue through her children and grandchildren.
