Cornelia B Roche

Cornelia B. Roche of South Chatham, MA passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at the age of 88. She was the daughter of the late Constance Learned Brayton and Lawton Slade Brayton.

Cornelia was born on June 12, 1937, in New York City, lived most of her childhood in Fall River, MA attending BMC Durfee High School and later graduating from Wheaton College, Norton MA. She worked primarily in real estate as an office administrator in Andover, MA. After settling in Chatham many years ago she became very involved in St. Christopher's Episcopal Church volunteering in administrative roles, Church Choir, and the Thrift Shop.

Cornelia is survived by her two sons Gregory B. Roche of Buzzards Bay, MA, and his wife Donna E. Roche, and Ryan A. Roche of Fall River, MA, and his wife Lori A. Martins

Cornelia is also survived by her grandchildren Christina M. Lavner, Gregory B. Roche; and great-grandchildren, Meadow Lavner, Logan Roche, and Morgan Lavner.

Cornelia loved reading, enjoying the beach, family get togethers, singing in the choir. She especially loved visiting and staying in touch with all her friends from all over the country! Cornelia was a fantastic mom, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed by many!

Funeral will be held at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. 625 Main Street, Chatham, MA 02633 on Friday December 19th at 10:30AM. A private interment will be held immediately after the service.
