Corson- Cornelius "Neal" Corson, age 79, of Macclenny Florida passed away on February 14, 2026, at St. Vincent's Riverside Center for Caring. Neal was born on December 15, 1946, in New York City, New York, to the late Joseph A. Corson. As a child, he relocated with his family to Lake City, Florida, where he was raised before proudly enlisting in the United States Army. During his distinguished military career, Neal reenlisted multiple times and was stationed at various locations throughout the United States. Over 22 years of dedicated service, he rose to the rank of Sergeant Major, a testament to his leadership, commitment, and devotion to his country. Following his retirement from the military, Neal and his beloved wife, Joyce Justice Corson, made their forever home in Baker County, Florida. Neal was a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in spending time with his sons and grandchildren. He enjoyed boating, camping, and fishing along the St. Mary's River. Neal's life was marked by service, love, and steadfast devotion to his family and country. While he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with loved ones who have gone before him. Neal was preceded in death by his father and sister, Vikki.

Neal is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Corson of Macclenny, FL; sons, Brian (Kat) Corson of St Augustine, FL and Joe (Nicole) Corson or Whitney, TX; grandchildren, Lisa (Roxy), Brandon, Haley, JR, Wes, and Joshua; sister, Diane; along with many extended family members and friends.

Neal's family will celebrate his precious life privately. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. TODD FERREIRA FUNERAL SERVICES, 250 North Lowder Street, Macclenny, FL 32063 (904) 259-5700. Visit www.ferreirafuneralservices.com to sign the family's guest book.
