Carl Brantley Fraser, 88, passed away on January 15, 2026 in Macclenny, Florida. A lifelong Floridan, Carl was born on April 28, 1937, in Macclenny and remained deeply connected to his roots throughout his life.

Carl attended Baker County High School and later earned his Associate of Arts degree from Florida Junior College. He dedicated his professional life to public service with the Jacksonville Police Department for 32 years.

Carl shared 54 and half devoted years of marriage with his beloved wife Loretta Fraser until her passing. Together they built a life centered around love, family, and shared values. He found great joy in spending time with his family and friends, often surrounded by laughter and stories that reflected his deep appreciation for those closest to him.

Outside of work and family life, Carl found peace working cattle on his farm. He was an avid fan of NASCAR races, often enjoying the thrill of the sport with those close to him. His faith was an important part of his life; he was an attendant of West Jacksonville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter Lisa Renee Patterson (Brian); grandchildren Sandra Mobley, Amanda Gullant, and Justin Raiford (Ashley); great-grandchildren Brantley Dean Bryant, Logan Chase Thornton, Trenton Reed Thornton, and Laura Lynn Gullant. Carl also leaves behind nephews Connie Fiser (Zaida) and Michael Fiser (Courtney); as well as numerous cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will remember him fondly.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents Louis Calvin Fraser and Bessie Edna Rowe; siblings Lois Holt (Tom), Miranda Taylor (Theo), Charles Fraser (Lee), Sara Sizemore (Pete), Faye Fiser (Connie), and Marion Raulerson (Virgil).

Throughout his journey, Carl was guided by the wisdom and support of many mentors who left lasting impressions on him—his parents and siblings among them—as well as Kenneth Brown, Bob Ervin, Tommy Cox, and others whose influence helped shape the man he became.

Carl Brantley Fraser’s legacy is one of steadfast dedication-to his family, his profession, and the land he loved. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
