Corrie Laneld Harris was born April 7, 1961, to the late Arthur R. Harris and Gloria N. Correll Harris. She departed this life at 2:04 a.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR.
While she lived among her family for most of her life, in her final days she was literally surrounded by her siblings and extended family. Corrie was educated in the Monticello School District and graduated in 1979. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting, traveling, shopping, and sharing time with family and friends. Among other roles, Corrie was a friend, counselor, and confidante. She is fondly remembered for her selflessness. Whenever you needed someone or something, she would drop whatever she was doing and SHOW UP. It didn't matter where it was or who it was, she was gonna be THE FIRST there to help.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria N. Harris; father, Arthur R. Harris, and two brothers, Frederick E. Harris and Steven Harris. Cherishing her memory and uplifted by the life eternal she now enjoys are her stepmother, Verlenda J. Harris; five sisters, Juanita Freeman, Jacqueline Thompson, Gloria Y. Harris, Sondra Johnson, and Meshonda (Marcus) Donahoo; five brothers, Ricky Thomas, Arthur L. Harris, Jesse (Kiko) Harris, Marcus Harris, and Wallace Smith. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
