Corrine Carol Drosenos

Corrine Carol Drosenos, age 86, of Wadsworth, Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
Her granddaughter, Elizabeth, writes: "We wanted to share today, that grandma Corrine Drosenos, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by love. Heartbroken that she will no longer be here smiling with us, but also relieved that she is no longer held here with discomfort. She has so many loved ones who will miss her terribly, but some peace comes from who will be waiting for her on the other side. I bet she's already getting dressed up, with her hair and makeup done, picking out a nice outfit to get her day started. Hug everyone up there tight grandma; tell them how much we miss them, and keep them company for us until it's our time.
Corrine was born on November 17, 1937, in Braxton County, West Virginia, to the late Curt and Maggie (Mollohan) Canfield and later married Harry L. Drosenos. Harry died on January 16, 2003.
She graduated from Medina Vocational School and made doors for Medina Door (Southern Door) for many years, retiring in 1983.
Corrine enjoyed bowling, word searches, crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She also enjoyed shopping, crafts, babysitting, and she will be remembered for her peanut butter fudge. Family gatherings were very important with 15 kids in her family; she loved going to family reunions; she especially loved watching her grandkids.
Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Heater of Rittman and Regina (Herbert) Wolfe of Hampton, VA; three grandchildren, Maggie (Stephen) Monfalcone of VA, Elizabeth (Paul) Gasser of Rittman, and Anthony Heater of Rittman; four great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Penelope, and Faron Monfalcone of VA, and Lorelei Gasser of Rittman; a sister, Sandra Kay Sims of Seville; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; a close friend, Trudy Wolfe of Rittman; and a special thank you to Marilyn Gordon who was Corrine's special caregiver.
She was preceded in death by son, Faron Drosenos; and siblings, Ira, Flossie, Eloise, Virginia, Jenk, Denver, David, Roger, Allen, Louise, Robert Paul, Mary Helen, and Ellen Pauline.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Mount Peace Cemetery in Akron, with Celebrant Kevin O'Brien officiating.
