Corrine Breen Wilson, a beloved matriarch and dedicated caregiver, passed away on December 24, 2025. Born on January 7, 1957, in Nassau County, NY, Corrine spent her life devoted to the care of others, serving as a Director of Nursing for over 40 years. Her career reflected not just a profession but a calling, as she approached every aspect of her job with the compassion synonymous with her character.
To her family, Corrine was affectionately known as "the BEST Grandma EVER!" She cherished each moment spent with her grandchildren, eagerly recounting stories and singing to them, enriching their lives with her warmth and enthusiasm. Family was everything to her, and the bonds she nurtured were a testament to her loving spirit.
With her caring personality, Corrine found joy in simple pleasures. She loved the beach and the evocative stories that a good book could unfold. Her home was a sanctuary filled with laughter and love, where there was always a cup of coffee waiting for visitors at her table, inviting warmth and conversation.
Corrine is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Jones (Jeff) and Connie Wilson (Robert); and her son, William Wilson (Sarah). She took immense pride in her grandchildren, including Grace and Finley Jones, Olivia, Everly and Harper Wilson, Greyson Dixon, and Tristan Madden, who will forever carry the memory of her loving embrace and endless support.
She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Alice Bogle (Benton) and Mary Pinaula (David), and her brothers, John, Fred, Bill, and Michael Breen. Their lives have been molded by her kindness and the legacy of love she provided.
Corrine was preceded in death by her father, William John Breen, and her mother, Concetta Giardinella Breen, who undoubtedly prepared her for a life of service and compassion.
A visitation will be held in her honor on January 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory in Burlington, NC. The love she shared and the memories she created will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. In every wave crashing against the shore or page turned in a cherished book, Corrine's spirit will continue to shine brightly.
