Cortez Alonzo Lemon, Jr. was born to Angel Annette White and Cortez Alonzo Lemon, Sr. on January 8, 2010. Cortez was lovely, delightful and a joy to all who knew him. He was friendly and outgoing with an enormous personality. He would often joke with family and friends about money they owed him.
Cortez Graduated from Leithwalk Elementary/ Middle School and was scheduled to attend Reach Partnership High School in the fall. Cortez had a summer job in 2023 with the DMV Futures Maryland Youth Club and he would also sell waters in his old neighborhood with friends. In 2017, Cortez started his little league football career with Coach Ace. He played 7-9 with ESR, 10u with ESR, 10u with Grind Hard, 11u with OTG, 12u with Shovel Boys and 13u with YFL Hawks. At an early age, Cortez gave his life to Christ and attended New Life Inspirational Church.
On July 10, 2024 Cortez brief life came to a sudden end. We thank God for giving us Cortez and the privilege to raise and love him. He shall forever live in our hearts.
Cortez was preceded in death his father, Cortez A. Lemon, Sr.; great grandfathers, Deacon E. Charles, Cox, and Lorenzo Eppes; great grandmothers, Pannie White and Jacqueline Eppes; and grandfathers, Minister Alvin Stanley White and Alonzo Lemon.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mom, Angel Annette White; his sisters, Camille Lemon and Alayna Peterson; his grandparents, Rev. Deborah Cox, Verdell Lemon and Rev. Henry L Wilkerson; one great grandmother, Mother Rose Cox; 1st aunts Daria Henson, Paris White, Christina Wilkerson; and bonus dad, Tyrone Bowen; and a tremendous host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
