Cory Michael Bailey passed away on December 11, 2023. He was born November 26, 1989, in Upland California, the son of Robert and Judy Bailey.
Cory grew up in Ozark, Missouri being mischievous with his brothers Robert and Christopher and his other brothers in friendship. He was our own Huck Finn and loved being in nature. He loved being at the river fishing, floating, hiking, and exploring caves in the Ozark Mountains. Cory married the love of his life Ashley Anderson Bailey. Cory and Ashley had over a decade of love and adventures together.
Cory moved to Orange County, California in 2018 where he reunited with his uncle, aunt, cousins, old friends and made new friends.
His adventurous spirit thrived going 4x4ing and hiking in the California Mountains and deserts.
Cory had a heart of gold and would help anyone. He was a light that burned bright, and everyone loved him and wanted to be in his light.
Cory left behind his wife Ashley Anderson Bailey of Huntington Beach, California; his parents, Robert and Judy Bailey of Ozark, Missouri; and his brother Robert Bailey; sister-in-law Michelle Herridge Bailey of Tuson, Arizona; his brother Christopher Bailey and sister-in-law Tamara Bailey of Nixa, Missouri; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Cory was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Elizabeth Bailey and Ronald and Doris Bowden; and cousins James Chesher and John Kirby.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM Friday, December 22, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM the previous evening (Thursday) in the funeral home.
