He was born January 7, 1994 in Huntington, WV the son of Charles & Violet (Christian) Combs of Harts, WV.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, McGinnis & Luraine (Wiley) Christian and Nick & Nancy (Ramey) Combs.
Cory was a talented guitarist, who loved spending time with his son, nieces and nephew and he loved the outdoors. He was loved by everyone and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his son, Cayden Combs; one sister, Nicole (Combs) & Nathaniel Tatum of Danville, WV; one brother, CJ & Racheal (Workman) Combs of Harts, WV; three nieces, Khloe Combs, Macy Combs and Amira Tatum; one nephew, Tanner Combs; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Terry Conley officiating. Burial will follow at the Combs Cemetery in Wayne, WV.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 16, 2026 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be CJ Combs, Tanner Combs, Nathaniel Tatum, Cleveland Combs Jr and Adam Chafin.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
