Mildred Virginia Maynard

Mildred Virginia Maynard, 87 of Harts, WV, departed this life on March 4, 2026 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 26, 1938 in West Hamlin, WV the daughter of the late Henry & Amanda Lucas Porter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Maynard, grandson, Cody P. Farley, nine brothers and sisters, Naomi, Garnet, Opal, Pearl, Alvirda, Ida, David C., Robert and Gilbert and her father and mother-in-law, Dennie & Betty Maynard.

Mildred enjoyed going to church, singing in church and spending time with family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her special friend, Lowell Midkiff; one daughter, Violet Maynard; one son, Philemon Maynard; four grandchildren, Emily Price, Aaron, Trenity, and Byron Maynard; thirteen great grandchildren, Isaiah, Becca, Zoey, NiKinley, Kolton, Kodie, Miles, Amelia, Byron Jr, Nova, Neriah, Hendrix and Onix; a very special niece, Sharon Frye; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with William "Bill" Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at the Wealtha Nelson Cemetery, Ranger, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bernie Brumfield, Darrin Browning, David S. Lambert, and Kevin Mullins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Maynard, Trenity Maynard and Byron Maynard.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
