Daisy Mae Mooney

Daisy Mae Mooney, 79 of Rainelle, WV, departed this life on March 5, 2026 at the Rainelle Healthcare Center in Rainelle, WV.

She was born July 10, 1946 in Chapmanville, WV the daughter of the late Chester & Vicie Christian Dingess.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Theron Mooney Jr, one daughter, Karen Lynn Mooney, three brothers, Ralph Dingess, Cecil Dingess and Lucian "Pete" Dingess, and two sisters, Ladonna (Roy) Brown and Violet Cade.

Daisy loved spending time with family and enjoyed everything about spending time with her sister Violet and the company of her dear niece Tammy Feamster who took care of her and her dear friend and caregiver, Dorthy Blankenship.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Kathy (Douglas) Eplin; one sister, Dorthy (Arthur) McKinney; two brothers, Lonzo Dingess and William Dingess; one grandchild, Douglas (Brittany) Eplin; four great grandchildren, Jordan, Levi, Harli and Motley Eplin; one great-great grandchild on the way, Peyton Dawn Eplin; and her special friends, Tammy Feamster and Dorthy Blankenship.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with John E. Godby officiating. Burial will follow at the Dingess Cemetery at Tims Fork, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Eplin, Jordan Eplin, Levi Eplin, Alex Stevenson, Joe Dingess and David Feamster.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
