Cory M. Warfle, Sr.

Cory M. Warfle, Sr., age 49, of LeRaysville, PA passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Cory was born on July 7, 1976 in Tunkhannock, PA. He was the son of Ruth E. Warfle of New Albany, PA. He was a graduate of Elk Lake High School.

He was employed with PennDOT for over 10 years and recently was promoted to Foreman. Cory was constantly working, if he wasn’t working for PennDOT he was running his sawmill.

Cory did take some time to enjoy the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and even got to take his grandson out with him last year. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his beagle, Chomper, rabbit hunting or taking buggy rides.

He is survived by his son, Cory M. Warfle, Jr. and his wife, Carlyn of Stevensville, PA; his grandson, Carson Warfle; and his mother, Ruth E. Warfle.

A Memorial Service for Cory will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 6:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 155 Church Street, Wyalusing, PA with his cousin, Pastor Luke Tice of the Warren Center Baptist Church officiating. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 5:00 PM until the time of the service.
