Courtney Charlton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Douglass Funeral Home - Lexington on Nov. 21, 2025.

Courtney Brooke Charlton, born on April 15, 1982, in Carson City, Nevada, was the beloved
daughter of Carol and the late James Charlton.
Courtney was raised in Lexington, MA by her mother and surrounded by her extended family.
She graduated from Loyola University in Chicago in 2004. Later she met and married Adam
Geissler, and together they were blessed with two sons, Ethan and Graham. She and her boys
made their home in Beverly, and in time, Courtney built a life with her longtime partner, Tyler
Accolla.
Courtney was loved by everyone who knew her. Grounded and sage beyond her years, she had
an infectious laugh that could light up any room, and a warmth that left those around her feeling
uplifted and at ease. Sometimes we lean on different friends for different reasons, but Courtney
was a rare one-stop soul; someone with a depth and wisdom that seemed to hold everything you
needed in one place, and a heart that held space for everyone.
Courtney had a rare gift; an ability to truly connect with people. Whether in her personal life or
through her work as Operations Manager and advocate for addiction recovery, she had a way of
making others feel seen, understood, and valued, a talent so few have mastered. She was a highly
accomplished advocate who worked tirelessly for those suffering from addiction, spending years
serving others at Addison Gilbert Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health.
Above all, her greatest joy was her boys. She was the most devoted mother; steadfast, nurturing,
and always creating magic in the everyday. She ensured that Ethan and Graham had traditions
that made them feel cherished: cake for breakfast on their birthdays, new pajamas every
Christmas, and countless small rituals that made their childhood warm and memorable. She was
endlessly proud of them; of their character, their kindness, and the wonderful young men they
have become.
Courtney also found joy in the simple pleasures of life: cooking alongside her boys, gardening,
expressing her creativity through her love of fashion, feeling cozy with a cup of coffee in hand.
From the very beginning, she carried a deep love of books, finding comfort, adventure, and
inspiration in their pages.
She will be forever remembered for her kindness, her laughter, her wisdom, and the love she
gave so freely to her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Ethan (19) and Graham (13); her devoted mother, Carol; her partner,
Tyler; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was and always will be deeply loved.
Visiting hours will take place on Saturday, December 6, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Douglas
Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington, MA with a service beginning at 12:30. Following
the service, we will proceed to Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.
