Mrs. Courtney L. Evans Franklin, 56, of Ranger, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, March 24, 2024, at AdventHealth Gordon after several years of declining health.
Courtney was born March 2, 1968, the daughter of the late Lewis and Barbara Dutton Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Tami Evans Karim. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of Cup of Life Ministries in Calhoun, GA.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Lamar Franklin, to whom she was married for 23 years; daughters, Kirstin Rogers and her husband James; Aniston Franklin and Tiffany Franklin; son, Hunter Franklin; brother, Shaun Evans and his wife Sarah; one grandchild to join the family in August of 2024. Mrs. Franklin was CoCo to Ava Evans, Madylin Evans, and one niece, Leah Karim.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 27th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. William Lewhon, Pastor Preston Aker Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Erwin Hill Cemetery, with Dr. James Shope officiating. Pallbearers serving will include James Rogers, Hunter Franklin, Dawson Morgan, Scott Byars, Justin Young, and Jonathan Rogers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 26th, at the funeral home between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 27th, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
