Coy Cummins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by White Funeral Home & Crematory - Cassville on Jan. 27, 2026.
Coy Cummins, age 79, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Cassville. Coy was born April 30, 1946, in Cordell, Oklahoma to Andrew and Ritta (Bruner) Cummins.

Coy proudly served his country in the United States Army, an experience that shaped his strong work ethic and dedication throughout his life. He was well known in the Cassville community as the longtime owner of Anita's Pizza, which he operated for 25 years. Through his business, Coy not only served great food but also built lasting friendships and memories with customers who became like family.

In his quieter moments, Coy found joy in working with his hands. He loved woodworking, keeping his lawn meticulously maintained, and spending time in his garden. Known for having a true green thumb, he took pride in planting and nurturing whatever he grew, finding peace and satisfaction in the simple beauty of nature.

Coy will be remembered for his hard work, his love for his community, and the care he put into everything he did.

Coy is survived by his wife Linda Hayden; one son, Casey Cummins of Cassville, Missouri; two daughters, Leslie Owens and her husband Jim of Joplin, Missouri and Jocelyn Cummins-Goodrich and her husband Bubba of Omaha, Nebraska; seven grandchildren; one brother, Frank Cummins of Douglas, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Phyllis Cline and Terry Boucher; his parents; two brothers; and four sisters.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 1:00 pm at White Funeral Home and Crematory, a visitation will be held two hours prior to service time.

Memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.
