Coy R. Leytham, age 22, passed away at Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital in Longwood, Florida, on December 29, 2024.
He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on September 11, 2002. Coy graduated from Central High School in Omaha with the class of 2020. He then graduated from Briar Cliff University in May of 2024 with majors in sports management and marketing, and a minor in accounting. Coy was passionate about soccer and was a skilled goalkeeper. He always put others before himself, and in his last selfless act, was a registered organ donor. His spirit will live on through those he was able to help.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marlene Leytham; grandfather, Robert Stansberry.
Coy is survived by his father, Sid Leytham; mother, Erica Leytham; grandparents, Leslie Leytham, Jo & Paul McMillin; sisters, Katlyn (Tyler) Bohannon and Sydney Bonar; brother, Keegan Leytham; nieces and nephews, Torie, Mayleigh, Miles, Natalie, Trace, Jersey Jo, and Wrenley; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends; as well as an extended soccer family.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, January 10, 2025. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Interment will be in the Grange Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
