Enterprise Utah - Coy Lemuel Strong passed away on April 20, 2024, in Enterprise, Utah. Coy was born on December 22, 2000, to Troy Strong and Ellie Gleason in St George, Utah. He was born without the ability to hear but was able to receive cochlear implants just after he turned 2. Coy has always been known as a hard worker which he had developed at a young age. He spent many days gathering cows with his brothers and Leavitt family as well as running equipment. He had a special bond with his Great-grandpa Leavitt who taught him how to weld. This is where Coy's love for welding began and was later strengthened as he worked with his uncles on both sides of his family.
Coy spent most of his childhood in Enterprise where he attended and graduated from Enterprise High School. He played football and wrestled when he wasn't working on the farm. He enjoyed riding and working on dirt bikes with his brothers. He spent every summer of his life at Lake Powell pushing his brothers off the tube. He started working for Laub's farm his junior year in high school and loved it, so he continued to work there for 6 years before starting with Patriot Arc Construction. He loved working for Patriot and would always talk about the travel and the lunches that they served.
If you knew Coy you knew he had a soft heart, especially for his dogs. He would take them everywhere he went no matter what he was doing. His girlfriend of 3 years, Lez, was always with him and his friends, having a good time and making memories. He was always willing to drop everything he was doing to help anyone that needed it.
He is survived by and will be missed by his parents, Troy Strong and Ellie Gleason; his brothers: Taz (Dalley), Deklyn (Lila) and Devin; his son, Jade; his niece, Millie; his grandparents and many other family members and friends. Coy was preceded in death by his Grandpa Robert Strong and Grandma Linda Leavitt.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024, 3:00 p.m. at the Gunlock Cemetery, 98 West 650 North, Gunlock, UT. Viewing services will be held prior to the Celebration from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Veyo Chapel, located at 176 E Center Street, Veyo, UT 84782. Coy Strong Services Program
