Coylene Sisk Williams, 81, of Marion, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026 at the CarePartners Hospice Solace Center.
She was born in McDowell County on August 22, 1944 to the late William Coyt Sisk and Dollie Belle Ward Sisk.
As the eldest of her siblings, Coylene embraced her role with great care and responsibility. She was much more than a sister; she was a second mother, a bond that her family cherished deeply. Coylene’s spirit was deeply rooted in her faith. She loved the Lord with all her being and found great joy and peace in gospel music. She faithfully attended church services and gospel singings as long as her health allowed.
Beyond her spiritual life, Coylene delighted in tending her flowers and cooking wonderful meals for her family. She also cherished the time spent traveling with her family and taking trips along the Blue Ridge Parkway with her late husband. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Williams, and four siblings, William D. Sisk, Homer L. Sisk, Millard H. Sisk, and Jessie M. Chatham.
Those left to cherish his memory are her son, Joel Daniel Williams; three sisters, Gail A. Washburn (Bill), J. Elaine Loftis, and J. Lanada Millsaps; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bruce Ward officiating. Interment will be at Drucilla Independent Fundamental Church Cemetery.
