Cozetta Evans Obituary
Cozetta Thelma Evans, age 76 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday morning, March 11, 2024, at her residence in the presence of her loving family. Born on October 9, 1947, in Fisher, WV, she was the daughter of the late Robert Isaac Myers and Ida Susan Reel Myers. Seven brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Cozetta loved to travel, capturing moments through her photography, and was known for her delicious cooking, always ensuring everyone was well-fed. Her biggest joy was spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, putting family above all else.
Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 56 years, Eddie Lee Evans, Sr., and her two sons Eddie L. (Teresa) Evans, Jr, and Kenneth A. Evans. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, as well as four brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street, officiated by Pastor Brad Taylor. The following day, at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 18, 2024, a mausoleum entombment will take place at Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, VA. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects from 2:00 PM until the start of the service on Sunday.
