Jason Stewart Jess, age 57 of Kirby, WV, passed away Thursday morning, January 22, 2026, at his residence. Born on August 24, 1968, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Donald Lee Jess of Kirby, WV and the late Carolyn Lee Keeney Jess. He was also preceded in death by grandparents, Charles Walter Jess and Maizie Lillian Cross Jess and Louis Edward Keeney and Mary Alice Sherman Kenney.
Jason was a collector of military memorabilia and old jars and bottles. You could find Jason set up at the flea market beside Burger King in Moorefield. He also traveled to shows in Maryland and Virginia
Surviving in addition to his father are numerous aunts; and a special friend and collector Jerry Mooreland.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
