Craig Stuart Clements

Craig Stuart Clements was born on January 24, 1962 in Crawford, NE to George Clements, Sr. and Theda Marshall-Babby. Craig made his journey to the Spirit World on October 20, 2024 in Omaha, NE.
Craig Clements grew up listening to the music of the seventies. In his record collection he had the original music of Elton John and Kiki Dee singing "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" and "Philadelphia Freedom". Craig was a gentle soul, a simple man. He lived his life with his own rules. He was a happy guy and he had fun.
Craig was deep thinker, playing numerous games of chess with his stepfather, Dwayne Babby. He enjoyed watching movies, especially scary movies. He loved being in the city, making his home in Omaha, Nebraska for over twenty years. Craig spent his early years in school in Whitney and Chadron, Nebraska. He attended school in Martin and finished in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Craig worked for Babby Well Drilling for many years. He liked snakes, picking them up and scaring his siblings while he chuckled at them. Craig was a friendly man. He got along well with others.
Craig is survived by his parents, Theda & Dwayne Babby of Martin, SD; siblings, George Clements, Jr. of Sioux Falls, SD, Connie (Chad) Kaltenbach, Cynthia Babby (Alfred Grass), and Beau Babby of Martin, SD; nieces, Tamara Clements, Whisper Janis, Misty Anderson, Natasha Kaltenbach, Samantha Lessert, Shawna Lessert, Alexis (Kyle) Haddix and Brittney (Trent) Big Crow; nephews, Terry Clements, Richard Clements, Nickolas (Katie) Kaltenbach, Nathan Kaltenbach, Christopher Anderson, Lucas Lessert, and Brandon Babby; and numerous cousins, including Tamara Ballanger and Elaine Marshall.
Craig was preceded in death by his younger brother, Terrance Wade Clements; grandfather, Peter Marshall; father, George Clements, Sr.; and uncle, Frank Marshall. Pallbearers will be Brandon Babby, Lucas Lessert, Terry Clements, Christopher Anderson, Nickolas Kaltenbach, Preston Apple.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
He lived by one rule. And that rule was "Life should not be a journey of arriving safely on the date of your death in a well-preserved body. But rather, sliding sideways with a beer in one hand, shouting "What a ride!"
Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the LaCreek District CAP Office in Martin, SD with an evening gathering beginning at 7:00 PM.
Funeral Services: 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the LaCreek District CAP Office in Martin, SD.
