Craig Wayne Dolphin

Craig Wayne Dolphin, 67, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017. He was born Feb. 9, 1950, a son of Donald Spencer and Susan Jane Holmes Dolphin in Massillon and was the second oldest of five children. Craig was a 1968 graduate of United in Hanoverton. He married the love of his life, Kathleen Jane (Schuler) Dolphin on Oct. 21, 1972. They recently celebrated 45 years of marriage. Craig and Kathleen enjoyed a beautiful life together and were blessed with eight children and 13 grandchildren. Craig was the happiest fishing off the shores of North Carolina and Guilford Lake, just as his father had taught him. He exemplified the qualities of hard work, strength, sacrifice, kindness and most importantly an unconditional love for his family and friends in his everyday life. He taught us all, that the simple things are everything. Craig leaves his wife Kathleen and children, Kathleen (Mike) Soubeyrand, Carolyn (Jerry) Latronica, Richard Dolphin, Christine (Steve) Solis, Cheryl (Dr. John) Gentile, Jeffrey Dolphin, Dianne (Rey) Dolphin and Patrick Dolphin; his grandchildren, Cierra, Gianna, Rocco and Gabriella Latronica, Nathan and Max Soubeyrand, Johnny, Justin and Charlotte Gentile and Ava, Isabel and Steven Jacob Solis and his sisters, Brooke Carvalho, Lynn (Keith) May and Shelly (Rodney) Haught. Craig was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Eric, his mother and father-in-law, Anne M. and William H. Schuler, sister-in-law, Jane Therese Kabetso and beautiful grandson, Jacob Patrick Soubeyrand. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown on Thursday at 10 a.m. Family and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave. in Boardman and from 9-9:45 a.m. on Thursday at the church, prior to the Mass.
