Craig George Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 29, 2025.
Craig Arthur George, a man who embraced life with adventure and humor, passed away recently. Born in North Adams, Massachusetts to Helen (Dupras) and Robert George, Craig's early years were filled with exploration and diverse experiences as he pursued various jobs. He found joy in music, cars, sharing jokes, and cherished movie nights with his family.

Craig will be deeply missed by his beloved family, especially his immediate circle who will forever hold his memory dear. His grandchildren will particularly miss their wonderful Grandpa, who often watched movies with them or happily observed them playing outside. His presence, infectious smile, and unique sense of humor will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Robert, several siblings, and his first wife, Yvonne, with whom he shared a precious, though brief, time together.

He is survived by his devoted wife of over 40 years, Barbara (Proctor) George; his daughter Melissa (Greg) of Glenville; his son Robert III (Andrea) of Argyle; and his two amazing grandsons and two wonderful granddaughters.

The family will be holding a private ceremony to honor Craig's life.
