Craig Leveen Obituary
Tallahassee - Craig Richard Leveen, 64, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on Friday evening, August 13, 2021, after an extended illness, while surrounded by his loving family.
He is now reunited in Heaven with his parents, Murray and Rose Benjamin Leveen; wife, Stacey (Kakarigi) Gamble; brother-in-law, William Lamb; and father-in-law, Richard "Dick" Lamar Gamble.
Born in New York City, New York on September 2, 1956, he was the son of Murray and Rose Benjamin Leveen, of blessed memory. He served many years as a dedicated law enforcement officer and enjoyed many sports, including bicycle racing, Jai Alai, racquet ball, corn hole and was an avid FSU football fan.
Survivors include his sister, Karen Lamb; brother-in-law, Daryl Gamble (wife, Kim); nephews, Jeff Jacobson, Kyle Gamble and Zachary Gamble; mother-in-law, Carolyn Elizabeth Tucker Gamble; and uncle Myron Leveen (Lorraine). He is also survived by numerous friends and fellow law enforcement comrades.
Visitation is from 10:00 until 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Abbey Funeral Home, with the funeral beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at Union Missionary Baptist Church on Highway 91 North in Donalsonville, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (https://www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org) or Big Bend Hospice. The online guestbook and live stream funeral service can be found at www.abbeyfh.com.
