Craig Jeffery Pollard Jr. (CJ) went peacefully with the Lord on August 28th, 2023. He was born October 12, 1982 in Detroit to his loving parents Craig Sr. and Laystonia Pollard.
He is survived by his parents Craig Sr. and Laystonia Pollard, sister Jolieka Elkins, his life partner and love Sarah Tennent, son Ryder, and daughter "RJ", grandmother Eleanor Pollard, great aunt Yvonne Gillespe, aunts Omega "Peggy" Miley, Mildred Wyatt and Terry Fulks, uncles Gary (PearlAnne), Marmion III "Tony" Pollard, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Laurie Tennent (Gordon Cox) and Stephen Tennent, brother-in-law Benjamin Scheiwe and a host of cherished cousins, friends and coworkers.
"CJ" could light up any room he walked into with his huge smile and magnetic energy. People were drawn to him because of his genuinely joyous personality and wild humor. He was an avid sports fan and die-hard Lions fan. He enjoyed music, dancing and socializing with his dear friends. He loved entertainment of all varieties, especially the Marvel cinematic universe. He was a dedicated, loving father to his two children and incredible partner to his beloved Sarah.
We will miss him tremendously, but we are blessed to have had him in our lives. His enthusiasm for life will live on through his children and in each and every one of those who loved him. He will forever be in our hearts, and we will be joined together again after the resurrection in the paradise on Earth.
Visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks, Clawson, Saturday, September 9th, 2-6pm. The Memorial Service will be held at the Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle, Sunday, September 10th, at 11am. Friends may visit beginning at 10am. A reception at the Yacht Club will follow the service 12-2pm. All are welcome.
