Craig Poundstone, 77, retired electrical engineer for Boeing, and a resident of Culleoka, died Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Born October 22, 1947 in Glendale, CA, he was the son of the late John Marion Poundstone and the late Dorothy Gwendolyn Knox Poundstone. Craig proudly served his country in the United States Airforce during the Vietnam War. On May 11, 1995 he married Diane Hunter. Craig was a classic car enthusiast, Ford’s being his favorite. He was also a member of several car clubs, and involved in many Civil War reenactments in California. Craig loved his dogs, and above all, loved his family. He was a member of the Episcopal Church.
In addition to his Wife, Diane Hunter Poundstone, he is survived by children, Angela (Brett) Caspary of Oroville, CA, Desiree (Michael) Leland of Reno, CA, Carl (Jessica) Poundstone, Brian Ratliff of Shelbyville, TN, and Camille Ratliff of Palo Cedro, CA; and grandchildren, Mason Caspary, and Hayden Chapman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Poundstone; and grandson, Jackson Pickard.
A celebration of life will be held at the Katarina Hotel, 1930 Baney Lane, Chico Ca. on October 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM. A second celebration of life will be held later in Tennessee. Donations can be made to Tunnel to Towers which helps disabled or deceased members of the military and/or their families. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
