Craig Mathew Jude Thaddeus Walters, aged 54, passed away on November 14, 2022, surrounded by his cherished wife of 30 years, children, and family. He was born March 7, 1968 in Washington DC to Julia (Hill), and the late Glendale Walters. Craig formally resided in Chagrin Falls and graduated from Chagrin Falls High School in 1986. Craig was the beloved husband of Michelle Walters (Miller); brother of Renee’ Cosentino (husband Len), Robin Hoover (husband Matt) and Kristin Walters (husband Jeff); father of Devin May (husband Kyle) and Jacob Walters; and adored Poperomi of Emersyn and Eve. Craig was the cherished uncle to 35 adoring nieces and nephews.
Craig easily gave to us more than we could possibly give to him. He was an inspiration to so many. Craig coached soccer at NDCL, Newbury, and Lawrence. He owned and operated Ecoscape Landscape Company, currently run by his beloved nephew Robbie Meikle. Craig, better known on the volleyball court as “Cupcake”, had an uncanny ability to hit the spot on the volleyball court all while holding a spicy garlic wing in his mouth. Craig was a precious friend to so many. Most would agree that Craig was quite a jokester, yet a gentle man with the kindest heart, and strong faith. The combination of his sense of humor, larger than life love, and incredibly generous heart makes it so hard to say goodbye.
Friends received at the St. John Funeral Home at 16381 Chillicothe Rd, Bainbridge Township on Monday, November 21 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held to honor Craig on Tuesday, November 22 at 11:00 AM at Church of the Holy Angels, 18205 Chillicothe Rd, Bainbridge Township. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the Mass. Burial of cremains private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to University Hospital Seidman Cancer Center or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Dear Michelle and Craig's Family, I was so saddened to hear of Craig's passing. I had the privilege to meet and play volleyball with Craig (and Kristin, Jake and Alex) over the past several years. Every encounter with Craig was a positive one and I feel fortunate to have known him. My heart goes out to you and your family. May your love for Craig live on and on through your memories and shared stories of your life together. -Alli

Michelle and family, our heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. As longtime friends of Chuck and Judy, we have prayed for Craig many times through his long illness. We hope you find peace knowing he is with God and no longer suffering. May God give you strength to endure your grief.
