Cristian Angel Rivera

Cristian Angel Rivera, 25, of New Bedford passed away Friday February 9, 2024.
Born in New Bedford, the loving son of Blanca Ramirez and Angel Rivera-Laboy, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Cristian was a graduate of Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School in the Electrical Technology program. While at Voc-Tech, he participated in track and baseball. In his younger days, he was a member of Normand's Meats championship Little League team. He was well loved by his family and friends, and was a devoted uncle to his niece and nephews. He enjoyed playing poker with his brother as well as beating his dad at dominos.
Cristian was employed as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in New Bedford, leaving a lasting impact on those he serviced on his daily route.
He is survived by his parents, Blanca and Angel; his siblings, Rafael Ramirez, Jomar Rivera, Katie Rivera, Zakurii Rivera, and Jaelianna Lewis; his nephews, Anthony Ramirez and Zaidyn Rivera; his niece, Emma Ramirez; his sister-in-law, Allison Faucher; his grandmother, Hortencia Laboy; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday February 15th at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
