Cristina was born on December 30, 1991 to John Canul and Monica Gutierrez in Temple, Texas. She attended Temple High School and then went on to further her education at Temple College where she obtained her Clinical Medical Assistant certification. Cristina began her career as a housekeeper starting from the Hilton Garden Inn to other healthcare facilities and then went on to become a business owner of her own business "Pure Cleanliness" that was established in 2021. Her children were her world, Cristina would do anything for them and they would never go without. She mothered all her siblings and family, she cared for everyone and had the biggest heart. Cristina was sassy, selfless, driven and independent. She always had a bubbly smile, if anyone needed help she was the one who never told you "No".

Cristina is survived by her parents, John Galindo Canul and Monica Gutierrez; three children, Allen Obrian Mcvade, Andrae McKinley Mcvade and Ambree Estelle Mcvade; two brothers, Johnny Canul, Jr., and Emilio Lorenzo Canul; and six sisters, Maria Emelia Canul, Maya Juliana Canul, Gabriela Seleese Canul, Carina Ycenia Canul, Stella Canul and Camille Canul.
