Cristopher Allon Frye, a vibrant soul whose laughter and charisma drew people into his orbit, left this world far too soon due to a car accident on March 15, 2025, in Silver Lake, Kansas. Born on July 22, 2005, in Topeka, Cristopher made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
As he navigated his teenage years, Cristopher engaged deeply with the woodshop and agricultural mechanics programs at Silver Lake Junior/Senior High, where he was known for his unyielding passion for his projects. He was a member of the 2024 1st place b-team Ag Mechanics. He was set to graduate in May 2025, a milestone he eagerly anticipated.
Cristopher was well-known for his sharp wit and dark sense of humor, which he shared liberally with those around him. He had a knack for bringing smiles to faces with his collection of funny, albeit dark, jokes, revealing a personality that was as personable as it was lovable. He was never shy to voice his opinion, often speaking his mind with a candidness that endeared him to everyone he met. Whether it was friends or strangers, Cristopher had a way of connecting with people, leaving a mark on their hearts that would not soon fade.
A lover of cats and goldfish, Cristopher was generous and selfless, always willing to lend a hand, or even give the shirt off his back. His adventurous spirit often found him riding his bike complete with a trailer, collecting various treasures he discovered along the way. His hobbies included welding and tinkering with both small and big engine vehicles—dreaming of one day becoming a welder. His mischievous side often led him to modify his vehicles by cutting off the cat converter and adding straight pipes, sometimes on vehicles that didn’t even belong to him, showcasing his spirited and jovial nature.
Cristopher is survived by his devoted family: his father, RJ Frye; mother, Sarah Beach-Frye; sisters, Olivia (Joey Schoonover) Beach and Emily Frye; brothers, Jacob Frye, Colby Frye, and Carson Winsor; and cherished nephew, Remington Schoonover. He also leaves behind several grandparents.
While his light was extinguished far too early, the love and joy Cristopher brought into the world will remain. Though his family and friends mourn the loss of a truly unique individual, they celebrate a life lived vibrantly and fully—a life that touched many and will never be forgotten.
A visitation for Cristopher will take place at 12pm Friday, March 28, 2025 at Parker-Price and Davidson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1pm, March 28, 2025, at the same location. Cremation is planned after the service.
If you would like to make a donation in his memory, the family requests that those be made to "Silver Lake High School" with the memo line to state "Cris Frye Memorial", mailed to 200 E. Lake St, P.O. Box 39, Silver Lake, Kansas 66539. The school has created a fund in Cristopher's memory to benefit the various areas he was interested in at the school.
