Cruz F. Ramirez – April 20, 1930 – May 11, 2024
Our Flores/Ramirez Matriarch, affectionately known by various loving names by family and friends, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on Saturday, May 11, 2024, with her son, Rodolfo by her side. Special recognition for assisting with caring for Mom, are her daughters, Ruth and Rebecca.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lorenzo S. Ramirez, son, Ruben Ramirez, parents, brothers and sisters, and other beloved family and friends. Left to cherish her memories are her son, Ricardo (Janie†) Ramirez, Rodolfo Ramirez, Ruth (Danny) Bernal, Rebecca (Mark) Duran, along with 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, plus her brothers, Benacio Flores Jr. (Norma), Luis Aguilar (Ruby), and a wealth of family/friends.
Mom was the original “Real Housewife” raising her children plus caring for our maternal grandmother and maternal parents, plus helping Dad with our paternal grandparents. We miss her greatly but are comforted knowing that she is at peace and resting in heaven with our dearly departed family/friends.
Pallbearers are her grandsons and great grandson: Lorenzo Cruz Ramirez, Rodolfo Ramirez Jr., Daniel Bernal, Alexander Ramirez, Mark Duran, and Christian Bernal.
Honorary Pallbearers: Enrique Bejarano, Jalen Partida, Arturo Ramirez, Gilbert Ramirez, Benacio Flores Jr., and Luis Aguilar.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Monday, May 20, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be at 12:15 PM, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at San Ignacio Catholic Church, 408 S. Park. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson.
