Crystal "Chris" Muratori

Crystal "Chris" Muratori, 82, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family August 11, 2025.
Chris was born on July 26, 1943 in Bellevue, Ohio to the late Harvey and Mary (Tom) Lawrence.
Chris was a 1961 graduate of Bellevue High School. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She was a talented cake artist, creating delicious and beautiful special-occasion cakes. Chris had a gift of making every occasion memorable through food, adding just the right touch of creativity and care to turn simple gatherings into cherished celebrations. She treasured lunch outings with girlfriends from her high school days and enjoyed watching sports-especially Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football.
Chris is survived by her children David Muratori, Cindy Muratori Thompson, Shawn Judge, Shannon (Tim) Hanchin, and Maria Muratori; brothers Bruce "Rocky" Lawrence and Marc (Blanca) Lawrence; sisters-in-law Dora Mira and Sharon Muratori; grandchildren Sam Thompson, Matt Thompson, Frank (Bailey) Thompson, Zach (Rosey) Judge, Megan (Zach) Judge, Nick (Emily) Judge, Jonah Wikel, Jake Wikel, Spencer Wikel, Jack Hanchin, Lily Hanchin, Viggo Muratori, and Valentina Muratori; eight great-grandchildren; loving nieces and nephews; cousins and many dear neighbors and friends.
In addition to her parents, Chris was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank "Buddy" Muratori; sisters Kathy (Dave) Orwig and Karen (Jim) Hamlin; and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 10:00 am at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory will be assisting the family with arrangements.
