Command Sergeant Major Retired William Thomas Webb, lovingly known to us as Bill Webb, was given to us by God on August 17th, 1942, born in the hills of Austinville VA. Bill lived his life for his family, being a hard worker and provider for all those he loved. He never met a stranger, and always had a warm smile with the joy of laughter following him wherever he was. For Bill it was God, Country, Family. Our Command Sergeant Major has been called home on August 16th 2024.
Bill Webb was one of 12 children (4 girls and 8 boys) of Maggie and Floyd Webb of Fries VA. Bill has two surviving siblings, Nancy DeAndrea and Mickey Webb.
He is survived by his caring, loving, beautiful blue-eyed bride of sixty years Juianna Webb. Along with his daughters Cynthia McClancy (Lynn McClancy) and Michelle Huddle (Andy Huddle) and son Tim Harville. Bill built a beautiful family with his wife and growing into having 12 grandchildren. Marcus Lillie (Amanda), William Lillie (Leigha), Jessica King (Scott), Shane Carowick (Stacey), Kimberly Driskill (Jason Nathan) Elaina Long (Jared), Neyland Lewis (Brandon), William McClancy, Rebecca Huddle, Lydia Huddle, Andrew Huddle, and Jacob Huddle. Along with the blessing of numerous great grandchildren.
Command Sergeant Major has many to list that preceded him in death, but the one we hold the closest to our hearts is his daughter Patricia Webb.
Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Farrar Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Lacey officiating.
