Curtis Jones Blanchard passed away on February 16, 2023, surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer.
Curt was born March 7, 1955. He grew up in Centerville, Utah, living his best life on his family farm. He learned hard work and a love for the outdoors. His childhood was always remembered with fond memories.
In 1977, he met Jeanne and they fell in love. They were married in 1978 and celebrated the 45th anniversary this year. They had four awesome children: Nick, Justin, Amy and Kimberly. Curt loved to spend time with his family and he became their rock. He loved to go camping, golfing; and oddly, he liked to garden. He included his family in all of his adventures in life and laughed often.
Curt started out roofing with his long time friend Steve, then he moved to Hercules when he got married and retired after 20 years. He then worked for another carbon fiber company for another 20 or so more years, where he finally officially retired to golf and spend more time with his grandkids.
Curt adored his grandchildren and loved to tease them. He took delight in making them giggle and later just snuggled them while they watch movies.
Curt was predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly, brother, Lynn, mom, Rhea, dad, Lester, and his very loved brother-in-laws, Robert, Kent, and Randy.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne, sister, Barbara, brother, Raymond, and his children, Nick, Justin, and Amy, as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Meadow Building 9455 South 4800 West, South Jordan, utah, on February 21, 2023. Viewing will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am.
We invite all family and friends to come and join us in honoring his life. He will truly be missed.
