Curtis Wayne Bodkins, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Born on November 16, 1957, in Humboldt, Tennessee, Curtis was the son of Nancy Lou (Wilkerson) Bodkins White and the late Gerald Wayne Bodkins.
Affectionately known as "Gunny," Curtis proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years. Following his military service, he owned and operated Bodkins Irrigation and Drainage, dedicating himself to hard work and service to others.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Wayne Bodkins.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Elaine (Kinchen) Bodkins; his mother, Nancy White; his children, Adam Wayne Bodkins and Melissa Renea Embry (Ray); stepchildren, Chad Walker (Margo) and Hollie Haggard (Joe); brothers, Kenneth Lynn Bodkins, Gregory Lee Bodkins, and Joe Frank Moore; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; four fur babies, Bella, Pepper Parker, Izzy Grace, and Dylan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Jackson Humane Society, 23 Pinnacle Dr., Jackson, TN 38301.
