Curtis Grayson

Curtis "Plowboy" Grayson, 87, of Hixson, Tennessee formerly of Signal Mountain, passed away Monday, December 22, 2025.

Curtis was a lover of antique cars and corvettes. He was an active member of Red Bank Baptist Church. Curtis enjoyed having breakfast with friends and fellow railroaders at Hardee's. He was a retired engineer with Norfolk Southern after a lifelong career.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Willie Grayson, and his brother, Howard Grayson.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Barbara Grayson; son, Jeffery Grayson; daughter, Teresa Grayson Stewart; grandchildren: Tiffany Typner (Eric), Trent Stewart (Courtney Skyles) and Tyler Grayson (Alex); great-granddaughter, Sage Grayson; brothers, Roger Dale Grayson and Randy Grayson (Audrey); and sisters, Sylvia Faye Barnett (Hollan) and Darlene Holtcamp (Vernon). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Monday December 29, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12:00 P.M. in the Coulter Chapel of the Lane Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30 P.M.
