Curtis Lee Hester, age 71, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the Durham VA Hospital.
He was born in Arlington, VA on July 5, 1951 to the late Opie Curtis Hester and Marjorie Orine Preston Hester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Tedder Hester.
Curtis served our country in the United States Marine Corp. including tours in Vietnam and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of Post 129 American Legion and was a 32-degree Master Mason and Shriner.
He is survived by his daughters Katherine "Katie" Baker of Sanford, Leslie Hester of Morehead City and extended family. Per Mr. Hester's request, there will be no services.
