Curtis Husfeld Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 3, 2026.
Curtis Randall Husfeld, age 63, was born on February 28, 1962, in California, the son of Monroe Husfeld and Sherlene Husfeld (Topp). He passed away surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, curiosity, and laughter that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Curtis was married to his wife, Dollie Husfeld, for 36 years. Together they built a life rooted in commitment, partnership, and dedication to their family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Monroe Husfeld, and his mother, Sherlene Husfeld (Topp).

Curtis is survived by his wife, Dollie Husfeld; his children, Sydney Polmanteer (married to Scott Polmanteer) and Jordan Husfeld; his cherished grandson, Samuel Polmanteer, son of Sydney and Scott; and his sister, Vicki Husfeld.

Curtis was a man of many trades and talents. He owned his own elevator company and worked extensively as an automobile mechanic, as well as in the oil and gas industry. For the last two years, Curtis worked at TAS, where he especially loved the opportunity to travel and truly valued the people he worked alongside.

Curtis lived life with adventure and enthusiasm. His hobbies reflected his fearless spirit and brilliant mind, including working on cars, skydiving, hot air balloon rides, snowboarding, video games, fly fishing, traveling, and computer tinkering. He was incredibly intelligent and endlessly curious, always eager to learn and build something new. One of his proudest passions was working on his YouTube channel, Educated Guess Work, where he shared his knowledge and love of tinkering.

Above all else, Curtis was a devoted family man. He was a one-of-a-kind father, his daughters were his entire world. He was a loving husband, and an amazing "Poppy" to his grandson Samuel. There was nothing he loved more than coming home to spend time with Samuel and his family. Curtis also deeply cherished visits to The Brookwood Community, where he loved spending time with his sister Vicki and watching her thrive.

Curtis will be remembered for his infectious laugh, incredible sense of humor, sharp mind, and kind heart. His presence filled every room, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved him.

His legacy lives on through his family, his work, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.
