Curtis Odell Martin Jr. of Thomasville passed away on August 30, 2025, at his home. He was born on October 15, 1943, to his loving parents, Curtis and Christine Martin, in Cairo, Georgia.
Curtis spent thirty years as a line repairman at Owens Illinois in Lakeland, Florida, before moving on to work for Anchor Glass in Warner Robins until his retirement. He was known for his love of cooking for family and friends, and when he wasn't in the kitchen, you would find him enjoying a good Western film.
Curtis is survived by his devoted wife, Faith Martin, and his children: Melissa Gilmore (Ray) of Lakeland, Amy Mears of Pueblo, Colorado, Samantha Martin of Pueblo, Michael Alexander (Shelley) of Zeeland, Michigan, and Stacey Penny (Greg) of Bainbridge, Georgia. He leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Curtis is also survived by his brother, Wayne Martin, his brother-in-law, Gene Thomaston, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved daughter, LeDawn Clements, his sister, Frances Thomaston, and his sister-in-law, Martha Martin. No services will be held at this time.
