Curtis McNeil Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McHoul Family Funeral Home on Feb. 27, 2026.
It is with an aching heart that I express to you today, about the passing of the loving, Curtis McNeil. Born on March 25, 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts, Curtis was an adventurous soul who filled our lives with laughter and joy, making our world brighter with his infectious humor. He was a courageous spirit, undeterred by many challenges life threw his way. His beautiful smile could melt anyone's heart and the sparkle in his eyes was a testament to his unyielding resilience and strength.

Curtis held a special affinity for watching and imitating Hulk Hogan, and his love for music and dancing was unparalleled. His tenacious spirit led him to a career in a vocational rehabilitation program, where he served for ten fulfilling years. Curtis' love for life and his courageous heart earned him a Special Olympics award, a testament to his determination and spirit. He was indeed an embodiment of the quote by Helen Keller that says, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." Curtis dared to live, dared to laugh, and dared to love fearlessly.

He was the beloved son of Hazel McNeil, and he carried with him the love and memories of his late father, Bailey McNeil Jr., and his grandmother, Sarah Kendall. Curtis was a man who valued his freedom and enjoyed living life his way, testing anyone to their limits. His love for life, his courage, and his irrepressible humor will be dearly missed. As we mourn the loss of Curtis, let us remember his words, "being free and having things my way", a testament to the adventurous and spirited life he led.

Special thanks to Vinfen for all the years they cared for Curtis.

Let us celebrate his life, his accomplishments, and the joy he brought into our lives.

Curtis is survived by Mother, Hazel McNeil, Sister, Sabrina Pittman, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews
